Who we are
Legal Tech Services provides ongoing practical support to law firms handling criminal legal-aid matters. We combine billing knowledge with practical evidence processing and technical support, working with the instructed lawyer to resolve missing information and corrections.
Depending on the instruction, the output may be evidence counts, worklogs, supporting schedules, a taxation note or a bill submitted to the LAA. We also provide translation, transcription and extract reports from supplied forensic mobile phone images, using computing capacity suited to demanding processing tasks.
How we work
- Agree the work needed for the matter
- Agree how to share material and arrange authorised DCS access where needed
- Count evidence and prepare worklogs and schedules
- Prepare taxation notes and supporting material where required
- Review the required information with the lawyer and submit the instructed bill to the LAA, or provide the agreed evidence or technical output.
