Last updated: 27 October 2026
Legal Tech Services Ltd. is the controller for the website and enquiry information described in this notice. This notice covers visits to legaltechservices.uk and enquiries made by email or telephone.
LTS also provides ongoing services to client firms. This notice does not describe the handling of case files and other personal information used to deliver those services. Contact us to discuss the relevant data-handling arrangements before sharing case material.
For a privacy question, request or complaint, email Legal Tech Services or call 07754 299 380.
Information we receive
- Enquiries: your name, business or organisation, email address, telephone number and whatever information you choose to include in your message or conversation. We also keep correspondence needed to deal with your enquiry.
- Website visits: technical records such as your IP address, the date and time of a request, the page or file requested, browser information, referring page where supplied, and whether the request succeeded. Our web servers generate these records when your browser requests a page.
You can browse without creating an account. Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but we may be unable to respond or assess a request without enough information to contact you and understand what you need.
Please keep initial enquiries general. Do not send confidential client files, health information, criminal offence information or other sensitive case material by ordinary email. Contact us first to agree an appropriate secure transfer method. Information handled during an agreed client engagement is subject to the relevant engagement and data-protection arrangements; this website policy does not replace them.
Why we use information
- Responding to enquiries and discussing services: we rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective clients and running our business. Where you are personally entering into a contract with us, we may instead use information as necessary to take steps you request before that contract.
- Operating and protecting the website: we rely on our legitimate interests in keeping the site available, diagnosing faults and preventing misuse.
- Meeting legal requirements: we use information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, including dealing with applicable data-protection requests. Where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we rely on our legitimate interests in protecting our legal position.
We use only information relevant to these purposes. This website does not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Cookies and browser storage
The public brochure pages do not set cookies or use browser storage. We do not use advertising trackers, visitor analytics or embedded third-party media on these pages. Private WordPress administration uses separate login and security features and is not part of the public visitor experience.
Opening an email or telephone link uses your own email application or telephone service. Following an external link takes you to a service with its own privacy information.
Who may receive information
Access is limited to people who need it to handle an enquiry or maintain our systems. Email, telephone, IT support and backup service providers may process information as needed to deliver those services. We may also disclose relevant information to professional advisers, courts or public authorities where necessary for a legal obligation or legal claim. We do not sell personal information.
If we arrange a transfer of personal information outside the UK, we will use a lawful transfer route, such as UK adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards. You can contact us for information about any transfer relevant to your enquiry and how to obtain details of the safeguards.
How long we keep information
We decide retention according to the purpose of the record. For enquiries, we consider whether discussions are still active, whether follow-up is reasonably expected, and whether a complaint, contractual issue or legal obligation requires the correspondence to be kept. If an enquiry becomes client work, relevant records form part of the engagement records.
For website logs, we consider the period needed to investigate faults, misuse and security incidents. Relevant records may need to be retained longer for an unresolved incident or legal claim. Backup copies follow the recovery cycle of the system concerned. We do not keep information merely because it might be useful indefinitely; records should be deleted or anonymised when their purpose and any applicable retention requirement have ended.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your personal information and for inaccurate or incomplete information to be corrected. Depending on the circumstances, you can also ask for deletion or for use of your information to be restricted. Where the legal conditions apply to automated processing based on consent or contract, you can request your information in a portable format.
Your right to object: you can object to our use of your personal information based on legitimate interests, for reasons relating to your particular situation. Contact us using the details above and we will consider your request.
These rights have legal conditions and exceptions. Requests are normally free, and we normally respond within one month. We may need proportionate information to confirm your identity or clarify your request. If a lawful extension or exception applies, we will explain it.
Complaints
Please contact us if you are concerned about how we use your information so we can investigate and respond. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: make a complaint to the ICO, or call 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if the website or our handling of enquiries changes. The date above shows when this policy was last updated.
